About Transmission and Distribution

Southern California Edison’s (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T & D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the 50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 15 million residents via SCE’s 5 million customer accounts.

Position Overview

The Manager of Performance Management Analytics will provide leadership within the performance management and reliability team. The successful candidate will provide direction to the organization to achieve corporate goals and T&D metrics, and make decisions on essential aspects of the overall performance management strategy. The Manager will be responsible for descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics, reporting functions, as well as continued operation for new and current T&D performance initiatives. The Manager will educate and inform SCE and stakeholders on current performance status and future corrective actions and plans, including impact to the overall business.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Manage department responsible for performance management advanced analytics to drive SCE to first quartile.

  • Make decisions on approach and direction based on reliability initiatives, performance metrics, and feedback from key stakeholders.

  • Address business issues of high complexity to ensure alignment with corporate goals and strategies.

  • Identify and recommend areas for continuous improvement.

  • Strategize to address risks and contributes to the development of departmental business plans and corporate objectives necessary to achieve desired performance and reliability results.

  • Manages assigned budget and resources.

  • Facilitates employee development through coaching, identifying training and development opportunities and resource assignment.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in STEM, Business, or Technical Discipline.

  • Five or more years of experience performing analytics or supervising the analytics function.

  • Experience in leading organizational groups or teams.

Desired Qualifications

  • Three years’ experience working with T&D maintenance, reliability, and operational performance data.

  • Ability to create a positive high performance work environment.

  • Ability to lead a diverse team focused on innovation, change management and employee development.

  • Ability to achieve results through others by prioritizing activities, delegating and monitoring the progress of assignments, and holding employees accountable for results.
