A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Guiding the organization in financial planning and strategy, with a focus on providing sound financial insights and recommendations to the organization.

  • Executing on innovative solutions to enhance our processes and reporting, elevate the way we manage our financials and provide deeper awareness of spend improvement opportunities.

  • Work closely with senior leaders and executives to model monthly Operations & Maintenance (Expense) and Capital spend forecasts, the annual operating plan, and General Rate Case (GRC) for the space.

The essentials

  • Ten (10) or more years of experience analyzing and extracting knowledge an insights from high volume data, investigating complex business problems through a range of data preparation, modeling, analysis and/or visualization techniques.

  • Seven (7) or more years of experience in interpreting, analyzing, and presenting quantitative analysis and its implications to audiences with varying levels of expertise.

  • Five (5) or more years of experience and proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.

  • Five (5) or more years of experience applying advanced statistical analysis, algorithms, predictive modeling, and pattern recognition to create solutions that enable enhanced business performance.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills, including the ability to convey complex financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Expert Microsoft 365 user, with proficiency in data mining and manipulation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record to lead, influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong program management skills and a history of delivering inventive, quality and timely results on time and within budget.

The preferred

  • Experience and familiarity with GRC frameworks, compliance, and regulatory requirements in utility finance.

  • Experience and proficiency with SAP and/or Cobra.

  • Experience with analyzing large datasets, including financial data, and applying advanced statistical techniques to identify trends and patterns.

  • Experience with PowerBI or similar data visualization tool, preferably as a power-user

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related major.

You should know

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs
