About Corporate Security Project Management Office
Corporate Security’s Project Management Office (CSPMO) is responsible for execution of all physical security related projects and field technology installations within SCE’s service territory. CSPMO has a large number of active projects at any given time in various stages of execution. CSPMO is also responsible for execution and implementation of NERC related compliance projects.
The Project Manager provides hands on project management, resource coordination, project budget management, vendor management, and various ancillary duties required to initiate, execute, and conclude each assigned project. In this position, you will be responsible for independent decision-making to mitigate risks and resolve project related issues.You will require significant field visitations to various SCE sites to verify, measure, inspect, and guide vendor activities. You will also lead cross functional teams and activities related to development of plans, schedules, and execution of assigned projects.
The successful person will likely be assigned a range of short term and long term projects to be executed simultaneously. Projects typically have significant business unit-wide impact. This position ensures projects are completed on schedule and within budget and makes strategic decisions regarding establishing and changing project direction. This position works in collaboration with internal and external resources and represents the Company with contractors, suppliers, other departments, and/or other parties as required. Interacts regularly with all levels of management. Acts as a key consultant to management for both functional and broad business issues
Develops project concepts and makes them a reality by building project schedules, budgets, and resource needs to meet requirements.
Identifies and documents project requirements and budgetary needs and requirements for the various projects for capital improvements of CS core systems used to protect life and property, and capital refresh activity.
Develops project and budget measurement and analysis tools
Identifies requirements, deliverables, and critical path
Identifies, measures, and mitigates risks associated with security projects, alerting PMO manager and CS management of problem areas
Identifies and leads tasks, assigns and tracks resources related to requirements & budgets working with CS project managers and analysts
Communicates and presents project updates to stakeholders to ensure awareness and engagement, and leadership involvement as needed
Promotes safety and safe work practices in alignment with SCE safety standards
Leads and directs cross-functional project teams and their activities to address issues, and solve problems involving physical security systems and electronic security systems
Design work flows and lead large technically based projects/work streams for implementation of vendor requirements and budgets
Seven years of project management experience in project management ora related field
Experience in contract management
Two years of cross functional projects
Two years of supervisory experience
PMP certification or related project management certification
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or technical discipline
Seven or more years of technical project management in low voltage technology and installations
Five or more years of contract management
Five or more years of leading cross-functional projects
Five or more years of experience in a supervisory role
PMP and/or PE certifications

The primary work location for this position is Rosemead; however, the person hired will be conducting significant amount of time various visiting field sites.
Position will require up to 50% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.

This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to coming onboard, the selected candidate is required to pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate will complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties
