About Corporate Security:
The primary responsibility of Corporate Security is to protect worker safety, prevent crime on SCE property, and mitigate risks of physical attacks to critical infrastructure. Physical security operations within Corporate Security covers contract security officer services, the Edison Security Operations Center (ESOC), investigation of security incidents and threats, intelligence-gathering, the SCE Badging Office, NERC Physical Security compliance, and background investigations and PRAs.
You will provide strategic, analytical, technical support for business and security planning activities. You will also collaborate with Corporate Security planning teams and business clients to identify, collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation (using appropriate tools and models) from which business cases and initiative roadmaps are developed. Conducts business case development, designs presentations and performs business process analysis to ensure integration, communication, alignment and proper hand-offs.
You may act as a leader for business planning applications, performance metrics, Excel analytics, and other business support systems. Performs problem analysis, directs implementation of resolution and mitigation. Will ensure all appropriate planning artifacts are completed.
Business Analysis – Lead analysis of business requirements and the development of operational requirements and specifications to address complex business needs.
You will performs statistical analysis to support a wide variety of business initiatives to integrate work across related areas, develop business strategies and services, improve client satisfaction and productivity, manage risks appropriately, execute business plans, and coordinate information.
- Gathers, documents, analyzes, and draws conclusions or presents recommendations on data and information; plans or assists in analyses, presentations, and implementation strategies for some complex analysis or for a portion of a complex analysis.
Business Intelligence – You will share valuable input to business intelligence roadmaps and development plans. Including ad-hoc report development and data mining.
Corporate Security Partnerships – You will collaborate with key business partners and Corporate Security teams, leads work to understand business priorities, identify strategic initiatives.
Assesses business imperatives and goals and articulates them as Corporate Security needs.
Facilitates translation of business needs to develop business cases.
Partners with business and security partners to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into security requirements. Identify gaps in the potential capabilities and communicate to internal decision makers.
Project Management – Coordinates projects/programs, process improvement efforts, performance analytics/metrics, optimization, cost budgets, project resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Including the creation, tracking and coordination of the investment planning documents (Investment and project proposals)
Process Improvement – You will lead gathering business requirements, and related processes and the identification and training on the use of appropriate tools to support the work intake and routing processes. Develops, analyzes, and tracks performance metrics.
Work Management - You will effectively works independently and within a team environment. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
Fiveyears of experience in the field of analysis
Experience defining requirements
Bachelor Degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Experience in defining requirements, project scope, and performing cost/benefit analysis.
Experience with physical security and planning applications.
Ability to make effective decisions that meet business needs while minimizing risk and operating within company policies and all levels of regulations.
