We handle critical 24/7 operational functions in support of the electric grid. In order to maintain new technologies such as Grid Modernization, we need highly skilled and trained teams in technology. As a Training Coordinator, you will work with Engineering, Construction and Operations to tackle training needs of the technical workforce across Grid Services, to build and maintain a diverse IT/Telecom and SCADA network. You will assess and identify skills or knowledge gaps and solve for them. You will have a focus on best in class learning experiences and work closely with Equipment Vendor/ Manufacturer to craft training courses to address the specific deployment configuration in SCE’s environment.

Detailed stuff you will be doing...
Oversee and schedule classes and conduct survey and evaluations to resolve effectiveness.
Inspire the development of test and troubleshooting process and procedures to ensure optimal operation and performance.
Conduct technical needs assessment of Grid Services technical staff and choose appropriate training methods.
Define and drive the direction for new processes, standards or operational plans based on business strategy with an impact on work group results.
Evaluate training course material to verify that it meets personnel needs and requirements.
Lead and schedule technical training, including class pre-work distribution, facility availability, and equipment needs.
Collecting, maintaining and reporting on training metrics, e.g., class attendee participation, knowledge/skill testing, and pre and post-training evaluation results.
Accessing instructional effectiveness and summary evaluation reports to resolve impact of training and how it affects Key Performance Indicators.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications you need...
7 years of experience in the field performing complex analysis, consulting, and providing recommendations.
Other things you should have...
3 years of experience delivering training courses.
